Welcome to the Family
We believe in more than coffee!
We exist to see growth and interaction within our communities. To see growth and success you have to take action. It starts with each of us as individuals! That is why each year we design and host interactive community events. These events let the local community not only participate and give back, but make connections with each other. You donate and show up to party! We donate too and provide the prizes and fun! This builds up our community through a variety of organizations and groups that are in need of help to make our area better. Check out some events!
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Washington County, Ohio has almost 60,000 people according to the last government census. Out of that number, 13.6% live in poverty and are food insecure. Food Insecurity is defined by the United States Department of Agriculture as the lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life. Food insecurity is associated with numerous adverse social and health outcomes and is increasingly considered a critical public health issue. Key drivers of food insecurity include unemployment, poverty, and income shocks, which can prevent adequate access to food. This affects adults and children all over the county. To help counteract tough times, we host an annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. We go grocery shopping as a store with all our employees to start the donation cycle. Then we will have a set day for the community to come drop off donations and again win prizes! Once the day is complete we spread out all the donations across multiple outlets including the Salvation Army, Angels Harbor (a local women's shelter), and our local small food bank. If we can actively help people have a home cooked meal on a special day with their families, then we did our job.
Back to School Drive:
Just like many adults and children dealing with food insecurity in Southeastern Ohio, those same families and more deal with the rising cost of school supplies. Families all over America have to spend money each year on new school supplies, clothes, and updated technology. The rising price of supplies is often a heavy burden on families. Especially those already living on or under the poverty line. Many children and adolescents in Southeastern Ohio head to school each year in old clothes with outdated supplies or none at all. We aim to limit this as much as possible. Before the school year starts each year, we will host a School Supply Drive. We gather school supply lists from all the schools in our area and post them daily leading up to our event. We go shopping as a Roseland Family and gather supplies to donate! Then again we will host a donation day. You drop off supplies and get entered to win cool prizes. The outcome is always huge and we end the day knowing kids will head to school that year with their school supplies covered and teachers won’t have to spend their own money buying extra. One less thing for parents and children to stress about!
Humane Society Adoption Day
We partner with the Humane Society of the Mid-Ohio Valley once a year to raise monetary and item donations for all the pets in need. The Humane Society brings some animals to each shop that are in need of a home and some extra love. We welcome the community to come visit some pets up for adoption and get to know them. If you donate supplies off of their list of needed items, you are entered to win prizes from us! We have seen pets adopted from our events and are now with loving families. The Humane Society leaves with a van full of supplies for their shelter and we get to celebrate another year of getting the word out so the deserving animals can find loving homes. It is always a fun and hectic day!
